We hope you like your About Time trial. If you want to continue using About Time after this trial period has expired, buy a prepaid bundle on time. More about our bundles: How does a pre-paid credit work?
After the trial period has expired, your data will be stored for another month. If you change your mind during this period, you can still buy a bundle and use your account again while keeping all your data.
About Time is the app that allows you to arrange and record almost everything for death, funeral and inheritance. It helps you to think about everything that is possible and what needs to be arranged.
You then invite trustees who can access this data at different stages of your life: during life and well-being, in case of incapacity and after death.
This can only be read permissions, but also the possibility to modify this data. Make sure you have always added a trustee who can access your data after death. You can adjust these permissions in the app, under Trustees.
To use About Time you need sufficient prepaid credit. You can view the current status of your credit at any time in the app.
You can top up your credit by choosing one of the bundles, 1, 5 or 10 years. The larger the bundle you choose, the lower the amount per month (converted).
To purchase a new prepaid bundle, use the About Time app. Via the menu, click on "Settings" there you can go to "My credit". If you press the "Top up credit" button, you can choose the pre-paid bundle that suits you. These bundles are available for purchase for periods of 1 year, 5 years and 10 years.
Payment for these bundles is made directly via the Google and Apple App Stores.

As soon as your credit threatens to run out, you will be informed, even during the free trial period. You can then choose to top up your credit by purchasing additional items.
Once your credit has run out, you can no longer use the app. From that moment on, you still have 1 calendar month to top up your credit. After that month, your account and the data and files you entered will be permanently deleted. About Time cannot retrieve this either.

Of course it is important that there is at least one person who has access to your data if you are no longer competent or deceased. At About Time we call such a person 'a trustee'.
In the app you indicate who you want to give access to as your trustee(s) and from what time. Perhaps during your life, when you are no longer mentally competent or from the moment you die.
You can also indicate what your trustee is allowed to do. Only view or perhaps also adjust data on your behalf.
You also indicate which trustee is allowed to register in About Time that you are no longer competent or have passed away.

More about trustees: What is a trustee allowed to do?
The answer to this question falls into a few parts:
- If you use About Time and close your account yourself, your data will be deleted as soon as you have definitively confirmed this;
- If you have a (trial) account and you let your credit expire, your account and all your data will be deleted after one month;
- If one of your trustees has registered in About Time that you have died, your data will still be available to your trustee(s) for 9 months;
- If you have registered for the newsletter, your name and email address will be retained until you indicate that you no longer wish to receive the newsletter;
- If you have registered in the Online Condolence Register (for example to open a register), your data will be stored there until you delete your account;
- About Time webshop: Did you buy something via the webshop? We must then keep the invoicing data for 7 years for a possible audit by the tax authorities.
Trustees can access the data in your account for up to 9 months after death. Your account will then be cleared and the data will be deleted.
About Time makes it as pleasant as possible for you. 2 Gigabytes are included with your account as standard. Adding data such as text, photos, videos and audio messages is therefore completely free.
With those 2 gigabytes you can store approximately 572 photos (7 megapixels) or 20 minutes of film (based on 13 MB/s in Full HD format).
Have you reached that 2GB limit? Then you can choose to throw away files, or you can purchase extra data storage credit.

After your trustee(s) have registered in About Time that you have died, they can access your data for another 9 months.
One of the wishes on our roadmap is the possibility for surviving relatives to keep the user's account (yours) alive after those 9 months. This is not yet possible, but if there is (a lot of) demand for it, we will certainly make it possible.
