Björn van den Bosch
Passionate man
My name is Björn, I'm 51 years old and I survived a massive heart attack. As a father of three children and living with Larissa, the love of my life, that got me thinking.
"My mission? Stripping the loaded theme of 'When I'm gone' of all taboos"
Five years ago, I wanted to have a conversation with my parents about death, I wanted to ask them what they would like if they died. In the years that followed, I never managed to find the right entry and the right time for that conversation.
Two years ago I had my heart attack, in the same period my father was diagnosed with 'incurable cancer'. Fortunately, I recovered, he would not recover. Before he died, my father said: "Björn, I've thought about it again and I think it's good to talk about it now." Fortunately, we were able to have that conversation before he passed away at the end of December 2020.
My mission? Stripping the loaded theme 'When I'm no longer there' of all taboos. So that relatives do not have to make difficult decisions in times of supreme mourning and grief. Talk about death?
It's About Time.
