DeFabrique: Utrecht


Between Utrecht and Amsterdam, there was a linseed oil and compound feed factory. After the relocation of the production to Deventer in 1996, a couple from Maarssen took over the factory and turned it into an event complex called 'DeFabrique'.

One of the industrial spaces, DePerserij, complete with high ceilings of 14 meters, authentic factory lamps and steel piping, is suitable for personal funerals. Technology, sound, catering and reception are excellently arranged and there is a reduced rate for funerals. DePerserij can accommodate a maximum of 300-400 invitees. For more invitees, the Copraloods is also an option.

De Kastanjehof: Utrecht

The Kastanjehof is located on the edge of the wooded village of Lage Vuursche, a short distance from the Den en Rust crematorium. This classic restaurant is ideal for funerals and informal gatherings. On sunny days, the adjoining terrace with a garden is a nice place to meet.

After the gathering, you can stay for dinner or take a walk in the surrounding forest.

Fort aan de Klop: Utrecht

Fort aan de Klop, part of the New Dutch waterline, is a special place for intimate funerals and commemoration. The bombproof guardhouse from 1851 has been converted into a brasserie and can accommodate about 70 to 100 people. The site itself also offers opportunities for meetings. Keep in mind that passers-by can walk onto the site. Sustainability is of paramount importance to the brasserie. The menu includes organic meat, responsibly caught fish and other organic products.

The Coach House has a sturdy appearance and can accommodate up to 60 people. When the weather is nice, the doors can be opened and there is access to an enclosed terrace. Take a seat on the royal blue benches before the funeral ceremony begins in the auditorium. The auditorium offers plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs and the glass façade gives you a beautiful view of the surrounding forest.

The Pier of Scheveningen: South Holland

The Pier in Scheveningen has been available for condolences and memorial services since 2022. The bright spaces above the sea can accommodate 10 to 400 guests. There is a separate family room and you can make use of catering and flower arrangements. As you reminisce and toast to the life of the deceased, you have a view of the sea.
