May we introduce ourselves?

Interview: Jaromir Gouw

In 1997, at the age of 53, my mother died of pancreatic cancer. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her. What a fantastic grandmother she would have been to my kids.

At the end of 2020, my brother and I tried to start a conversation with our (then) 83-year-old father. The question: "What would you like if you were no longer here?", turned out to be difficult for my father. He indicated that my brother and I would have to decide for ourselves, when the time came.

But what if we have a difference of opinion about the details of your last trip? As brothers, we shouldn't argue about that, should we? After the death of a loved one, you are more concerned with your grief than with rational thoughts.

By exchanging ideas about it with others, our idea was born.

And that's how About Time was born.

November 2022, my father passed away to great sadness. Fortunately, we started the conversation in time. The conversation and the insights helped enormously with a warm and personal funeral. That was, and still is, incredibly valuable. And that's what we want for everyone.

Start the conversation, tell your loved ones what your wishes are about your life, death, farewell and legacy. Record your answers directly in the app.

It gives peace of mind and peace of heart
